What Is Letter of Administration?

A LOA (Letter of Administration) is an official court document that is used to provide someone the right to manage the whole estate of a deceased individual. It is issued when a person dies without creating a will. When there is no executor named in the Will, the beneficiary may ask the court for a letter of administration. This letter will also be needed when no name has been mentioned as executor in the Will or when the executor named in the Will cannot or doesn’t want to carry out their responsibilities.
